Your library

Our library in Leiston is a valuable community resource that we don’t want to lose.  Nor do we want to see the standard of service reduced as a result of county-wide cuts being imposed by Suffolk County Council.

  • Why is our local library important to you?
  • How do you benefit personally from having access to local library services?
  • What would you miss most if the library was to close?

We want to hear your personal comments and stories about why Leiston deserves to keep its public library.  Add your comments below and let’s build the campaign to save Leiston’s library.

My local library is very important because I use it for my school work, to help with my homework and research. If we didn’t have the library I would have to do research on the internet but you can not always believe everything on the internet.

Leiston Library is the one I joined as a child and enjoyed and now My son loves going to it. The Staff know us and are so friendly. They also provide a supply of toys and things to do in the childrens area. The DVD hire is cheaper and longer than the other hire shops in Leiston. The ordering service is quick and easy and you can choose many ways of being notified when your request arrives. We hired all the driving DVDs for our learner driver. I use this library every week and only half of that is book lending!
